Glebe Scarf @ Earthfaire

I can't believe I didn't share this exciting news with you earlier, very remiss of me!

I have released a new beaded or non beaded lace scarf pattern called 'Glebe' available through Earthfaire which can be bought here.

I've added some photo's of my two finished samples.  The first is the beaded scarf in Nimu Blencathra Lace knit with 3.25mm needles and Gutterman 0/9 beads.

A pretty close up.

The colours in the Nimu yarn are terrific, it's 70% Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere and you can find a myriad of colours all happily coinciding together without jostling for attention.

I used two different coloured beads, alternating per repeat, but you can use as many or as little as you like.

The other sample was without beads and was knit with Heirloom Knitting Merino Lace in Jade Blue (more of a teal green though) held double with 3.5mm needles.

So it was a little bigger, longer and wider than the beaded version.

All snuggled up on a rock :)

Earthfaire is a beautiful treasure trove of a website selling yarn, threads and wire from lace weight to bulky, beads, patterns and kits.

Patterns include garments for children, women and men, and accessories for all.  Many of the lace shawl patterns include beading to make them intricate and extra special.

So there you have it, check out Earthfaire for yourself and treat yourself to something nice :)

Happy knitting
